Agricultural sector has been in a perennial need for risk management strategies to cope with the adverse natural events. The economic costs of major climatic disasters is increasing due to fast changing and hard hitting climatic conditions. This course provides a basic introduction to such initiative/s that addresses how they work and how to use our education and the new technologies as enabling tools. The class uses a combination of assigned readings, class room lectures and field assignments to deliver course content.
